How do I get to Oktoberfest?

Is alcohol allowed at Billie Creek?
Yes. Local and state laws must be followed with at all times. Failure to do so will result in immediate removal from the event.
Is firewood available?
Yes, there will be firewood available to purchase from the general store. Only deadfall and purchased firewood are allowed. Absolutely no cutting of tree limbs or branches.
2024: Billie Creek has firewood for purchase during the event*
- $100 pallet of firewood, Delivered! With a fire pit*
- $40 wagonload of firewood, you load from the general store
- $8 armload of firewood, as much as you can carry to camp in one person’s arms.
- *Pallets can be pre-ordered if you have a priority campsite! Email BillieCreekVillage@yahoo.com with your request: include your name, camp’s name, and email address to send the invoice to. Invoice comes from The Sanatorium LLC.
Reminders: - Fires MUST be off the ground and not damaging the grass. (Unless in an already established fire rings)
- You may collect dead FALL, do not cut down trees/limbs/wood
- Established fire rings should be emptied at the END of the event.
Do the sites have picnic tables and firepits?
No, the camp sites do not have picnic tables or fire pits. You can:
- Bring your own table and/or chairs.
- If you want a fire, either:
- 1) bring your own ELEVATED fire pit and take it with you when you leave. DIGGING YOUR OWN FIRE PIT WILL RESULT IN BEING BANNED FROM THE PARK.
- 2) Arrange with The General Store/Billie Creek Staff for a fire pit. Note: limited supply and will run out
Where do I park?
Large parking area across the street from Troll.
- After you check in at troll, and unload at camp, please park in the large parking area across the street from troll in the grass field marked out for parking.
- Note: the area next to Troll is for pick up / drop off / short term parking, or other designated vehicles
- Alternate parking areas will be communicated if needed and are arranged through The General Store/Billie Creek Staff.

Where can I park my camper/RV/camper van/Skoolie at my camp?
- Vehicles have to be parked in the designated parking areas and are not allowed to be parked in camps
- Use caution and plan your route with oversized vehicles to avoid the Covered Bridge(s)
What is the pay lot / priority lot, and who do I pay?
- BCV sectioned off the far part of the pasture and is a premium parking area for the camps back there. It’s a pay to park lot, with passes starting at $10. Restrictions based on camp prereg and other considerations are subject to change.

- Purchase Location:
- All parking passes must be purchased on-site at the General Store.
- Availability:
- Limited spots available. First come, first served.
- In-and-Out Privileges Limited due to high attendance and safety considerations.
- Non-compliance Consequences:
- Risk of losing priority campsite.
- Unpaid vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- Special Offer for Eligible Campsites South of the Farmhouse:
- One free parking pass for every 10 people pre-registered to that campsite.

Where is troll?
Troll is the white “Admissions” building you see as you pull off of highway 36. Don’t forget your government issued photo ID!
Rules for minors at Oktoberfest:
- ALL MINORS MUST HAVE A NOTARIZED WAIVER
- 15 years and under are free.
- 16 & 17 year olds pay event fee for the day they plan to arrive.
- Bring a notarized & signed waiver to the event (regardless of the adult they come with, ALL minors must have a notarized waver)
- Have a chaperone age 21 or older present the entire event. If the designated chaperone must leave the event, both the chaperone AND minor must leave.
- 15 years and under are not permitted to fight.
What do I do if I think I need medical attention?
Oktoberfest does NOT have a medical staff.
You can find a list of the closest medical facilities HERE.
We advise you bring your own medical kit for minor instances. Seek medical attention if it is more than that.
In the case of emergencies, please call 911 and find event staff, so we can get in touch with emergency contacts.
How can I volunteer at Oktoberfest?
You can volunteer ahead of time by adding yourself to our volunteer list. On site, contact the coordinator for the position you’d like to volunteer for. We are always in need of volunteers. Thank you for your help!
I want to volunteer, but is there any special training I need?
Some volunteer positions do require training. Please contact the appropriate coordinator in charge of the department you wish to volunteer for. Thank you for your help!
I want to teach a class, who do I contact?
Awesome! Please fill out this google form to submit the information necessary to be added to the schedule. You can contact the Classes Coordinator with any questions.
How do I add a ceremony to the schedule of events?
Awesome! Please contact one of the lead event coordinators. They will make sure your ceremony is added to the schedule and help with promo.
I won’t be able to make it to the event site until Friday night, will there still be room to camp?
Absolutely, come on down!
I lost my government issued ID and can’t get a new one before the event, what do I do?
A government issued ID is required to be presented at troll, please contact the Troll staff.
I don’t have a realm or unit/my realm or unit didn’t reserve a campsite, can I still camp?
We will have an area dedicated to unaffiliated individuals (sampler platter) or you can find an area that isn’t reserved by a realm/unit and make friends!
I’ve never been to Oktoberfest, what should I pack?
You can experience all four seasons in one event. Layers are a must! Night time temps dip really low, bring lots of blankets. Sir Tári Tinehtelë has made an amazing general prep and pack list. You can find that HERE

I’m a non-combatant, do I still have to pay full price?
Yes, non-combatants pay the same price as combatants.
How do I pre-register?

You select and pay the event fee for the day you plan to arrive.
Is there a long distance discount?
Yes! If you are traveling over 500 miles. Select the long distance option for the day you plan to arrive. When you get to the event, your ID will be checked to ensure you qualify for the discount.
